Asics Gel Ziruss 2 wear test after 200 km

Thoughts - The durable AHAR outsole is holing up very well, providing traction on multiple surfaces in different weather conditions.

There is a moderate wear to the middle of the foot and toe. The fine detail on the outsole is still visible. The FluidRide and gel midsole still offers a lot of impact resistance and stability. There is a good energy return when predominately running 5 km.

There is evidence of how the foam has compacted on the heal with a few creases visible. The tough plastic section that connects the heal to fore foot has received some scratches and had been rubbed down, this doesn't compromise the performance.

The upper of the Ziruss is very breathable with a dual density mesh offering support and air to the foot. Tougher rubber vaps are found on the toe and around the edges of the shoes. These help to reinforce the shape of the shoe.

The laces are often an overlooked part of a running shoe, but a very important factor. They have enough flex whilst offering support and remain tied when running.

The Ziruss 2 Retailed at £145 so a mid to top end running silhouetteother parts to note are the guidance line that runs down the length of the shoe, it is designed to improve a runners gait efficiency
