Has the fun element of trainers vanished?

After such a crazy year in 2020 we saw major disruption to every walk of life, with many spending more time in their slippers and socks than out on the street in trainers.

When we were out it tended to be the same pairs by the door that were the go too. Pairs to clock up some serious miles in that didnt hurt your feet.

What am I getting at? Well the fun aspect of footwear, seeing what your friends are wearing, being able to meet up and talk all things shoes amongst other things.

For me personally photography is a great way to showcase smaller playful details that may be missed in fancy promos and press shots.

We are in a time when its become so monetised and serious on release day that it just isn't fun. The stress of not winning a change to buy or not checking out your payment details fast enough become all to real.

The resurgence of the Nike Dunk SB is something that injects fun and playful nature back into all things footwear. Giving these pairs great consideration and attention to detail to portray a story or message behind the shoe.
