Jordan 1 Mocha what if?

Towards the end of 2020 we saw the release of the Jordan 1 in the Black/Brown colourway. Dubbed the Mocha, it features a black leather toe box with suede detailing the rear of the shoe.

The mocha follows the hugely popular Travis Scott collaboration and you cant help but see the similarity's. The main differences being the aged midsole/premium nubuck mudguard and reverse swoosh is something that most can live without.

I have dubbed these the 'what if' a playful take using photoshop to create a mocha logo in what would be the trade mark 'Cactus Jack face'. This again follows on from the fun element in footwear, something I feel is distinctly lacking of late.

To create this image I firstly too a photo of the shoe with both heel in view. Knowing it was destined for Instagram I allowed enough space around the shoe to maximise the 4x5" crop.

The next step was to find a suitable image that you could recognise as a mocha. Playing with the opacity and tones I was able to blend it best I could onto the heel.
